Hi Rita,
Our cluster is now running 7.1. Thanks for all the help with that.
Anyway my next project over here is to get some of the software running
locally (i.e. Emacs, some SIPB stuff, maybe andrew, latex etc.).
Anyway, it seems like the hardware guy who came out today is prepared to
remove Beaver (one of our two RVDs). If he does that we will not have
any space to run locally. I was in fact hoping to petition to get
another RVD sso we can get some courseware over here also. Leaving
Beaver will give us the two extra packs we need to put some of the
software on locally. I am planning on talking to Jerry Larivee tonight
about local software at DU but I would most definitely like for Beaver
to be hooked back up and turned back on.
Also, the printer Flabby looks like it will be removed finally. Good
riddance. Anyway if you can ensure that we do not lose Beaver, I would
greatly appreciate it.
