I just got through talking with IBM Austin (Bill Smith/Johnny Shea), and it
doesn't sound like there is any way to get around the "hole" in chickadee;s
vicepa disk. Jeff or Ricahrd: If you are around and want to take a look at
this, let me know and I'll fill you in on what we want to happen.
The call has been logged to Bell Atlantic, and I've spoken with Kevin several
times. I think that if we haven't been able to recover the data ourselves by
next Tuesday, I'll ask Kevin to come in and work on the disk. (He will
reformat and recertify it, or replace it if that fails.)

PS Jeff or Richard: What's on the disk is about 10days' worth of changes in
about 18 volumes, six of which it would be _really_ nice to recover:
course.1 stuff, and five disk-for-dollars volumes.
