write error on DEC 3100 floppy drives

On a regular basis, I download files onto a DOS formatted disk using the DEC 3100
workstations in building 66. However, today I recieved repeated write errors
when using the doswrite command. Sometimes it worked but most of the time it did
not. This happened even though I constantly changed floppies and the file that I
tried to copy. I even used 3 other DEC's in the same cluster and had the same
fustrating problem.
To solve this, I took the disks home, reformatted them, and then used a DEC 5000
in the business building and had no problem. I still don't know if it was the
hardware that caused the problem. But I thought you should know.
