You sent mail to hotline about problems when you remotely logged in to
"pal3 in the RLE lab". (As far as I know, pal3 is not an RLE room,
but in the 6.111 lab. Perhaps I'm confused?)
Hotline is not the appropriate place for miscellaneous user questions.
It is for reporting system software and hardware problems. If in
doubt, use the "olc" command to ask for help.
The software on pal3 is not standard, so we at Athena can only guess
what its configuration is. Contact the administrator of that machine
for more information.

You can login to Athena by dialing 258-7000 with a modem (or 700-7000
from an MIT digital phone) and typing "athena" at the PASTA-PAD>
prompt. For more info, use the "help" command (and look in 5:
Managing Your Athena Account / 1: Dialing into an Athena Account).
Further questions about dialup access to Athena should go to the
mailing list bug-dialup (if they are problems), or to the Athena
Consultants (if they are general questions).
