Service for the laser printer "scallop" at WHOI

The LN03 laser printer, "scallop", at WHOI needs to be serviced by DEC.
On talking with the local customer engineer, he says that DEC's records show
that repairs to this laser are now on a "per call" basis, ($200.00 / hour,
2 hour minimum ?).  Can you clarify this situation?  Has there been a delay
in renewing the maintenance contract?  Are DEC's records screwed up?  If,
this is a per call situtation,. how do we go about getting service and who
pays the bill?  Has a non-DEC service company been contractyed with for
maintenance support?
