Hello Chris,
Just this morning I've recieved the paper work for your new
DecStations. I plan to deploy these on Wednesday 8-4. On Monday
8-2 I will have Anchor Pad New England remove the LN03 anchoring
system and prepare the tables with a adhesive pad. The workstations
(4 DS5000) will mount on this pad.
As for the older RTs. If you want to have these up and running just
power them up.
If there is a problem booting notify hotline. I'd suggest booting
up single user and running fsck. Here is how to do it;
1. Power up.
2. At the ":" prompt where it says "Hit any key to continue , or
wait 30 seconds for it to continue" (or something close to that)
type, hd(0,0)vmunix
3. It will take aprox 2 minutes to produce the "#" prompt.
4. type, "fsck"
5. answer "y" to all questions.
6. repeat "fsck" till it goes through a complete File System ChecK
without asking a question.
7. After a clean fsck, type "reboot". The workstation will then
boot cleanly.
