So, in the process of trying to install the new kernel on beacon, I
powercycled it...  At least, I tried.  The `off' part when fine.  The
`on' part doesn't seen to have produced any results at all.  It
doesn't seem to come up at all; I can't even feel any airflow from
it's exhaust fan.  

Can someone take a look at it?  It may be that it's power supply died
(no surprise for the maxine), or maybe I'm just doing somethign wrong.
I'm really not sure what to do with it right now....
