Reason:
We request a bldg 4 normal bldg power shutdown, 480V/277V power panel DPH4G1, located in 4-0041EE, from 4 AM to 6 AM on Friday morning, July 19th, 2013 for Bennett Electric (John Shaw 617-293-4806) to install a 225A circuit breaker and tie-in the 480V-208V transformer for supplying the 4-270/370 classrooms with 500A of 208V power and as part of the 4-classrooms renovations phase of the 2 Chemistry renovation project by Bond Brothers (Jesse Conklin 617-938-4175). Marty Deluga 4-5081 and Joe Collins 3-3621 are the MIT project managers.
DPH4G1 feeds panels 1) LPH4131; only fan coil units in 4-131B affected 2) LPH413A only some welding lab welding specific outlets and the point of use hot water heater in the welding at the lab's sink 3) LH4G1 which feeds only the 4-1st floor corridor panel LH411 3A) LH411 feeds lighting in 4-131A and B and 8-101, some 4-1st floor long corridor lighting and lighting in rooms 4-146, 159 and 163 4) bldg 10-042 pp DP which feeds the rectifier for all DC power in bldg 31
Effect:
Loss of normal building power, lights and dc power for the duration of this shutdown.
