Reason:
We request bldg 38-5th floor fire alarm shutdowns as follows: from 6 AM to 9 AM on Wednesday, June 26th, 2013 for Simplex (Rich Perron 781-603-7799) and MacNichol Electric (Tom Durant 978-930-6001) to tie-in and program temporary 38-5th floor heat detectors and from 6 AM to 7 AM on Thursday, June 27th to conduct a brief *live audible test* of the bldg 38 fire alarm system to test the 5th floor heat detectors as part of the CFD Fire Impairment plan associated with the Prof. Leeb/Ceyer lab renovation project by Acella Construction (Marcilio Silva 781-733-1248). NOTE: Sprinkler demo will follow silent test of the heat detectors. Biss Teelucksingh 2-5972 and Nicole Bernabei 5-5157 are the MIT project managers on behalf of Billy Homeyer.
Effect:
Loss of fire alarms for the duration of this shutdown.
