Dear Collegues,
Tomorrow is the Third Thursday and our last event for the summer, so please stop by Choose to Reuse on the first floor of the Stata Center on June 20. This year we have averaged 80 people donating items and 160 people stopping by to get free stuff. It's all about decreasing our impact on the earth by sharing.
Drop-off for Choose to Reuse begins at 8:00 AM in the big white lobby with the mirror in Stata. The choosing starts at 11:00 AM and ends at 1:00 PM.
You don't have to give to get. And, you don't have to take back your item if no one chooses it. Everything that remains is donated or recycled by the Department of Facilities Recycling Program. We also have "Donation in Kind" forms for tax deductions.
Not sure what to donate? Everything should be clean and usable.
Bring: clothes, books, household items.
Items should be small enough so that they can be carried easily.
Don't bring: opened or expired food items, aerosol cans, anything broken or not clean.
Have more questions? Check out our FAQs: http://web.mit.edu/facilities/environmental/ChoosetoReuse_FAQ.pdf
See you there,
Regards,
Ruth
