The following Approved normal bldg. power shutdown for Bldg. W59-All on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 and Wednesday, June 12, 2013 is for your information.
Any questions please contact Billy Homeyer x8-0432.

Thank you,
Bernadette Drinkwater

We require bldg W59-all normal bldg power shutdowns from 5 AM to 7:30 AM on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 11th and 12th, 2013 for tying-in and disconnecting temporary generator power to/from W59. NSTAR will be shutting down the W59 transformer located outside the east end of W59 for tying-in power for the W64 day care center. The contact for the W64 project is AJ Bergen 508-802-0725 with Triumph Modular. Rich Quade 4-3338 is the MIT project manager.

Fire alarm and security go to battery back-up.
Generator cables crossing the pedestrian railroad crossing access path will be run in cable protector ramps. I am not sure if these cable ramps are handicapped approved. Someone is looking into it.

Please note we are at the mercy of NSTAR. NSTAR will not work if there is any rain or wind as those conditions put them on on-call status for emergencies only. The rain/wind dates/times will be June 12th and 13th from 5 AM to 7:30 AM.
We are also dependent on the Cambridge wiring inspector giving us the ok to restore normal power so I need to add other tentative time/dates for removing the generator.

Once W59 goes onto the generator power on either 6/11 or 6/12 AM. The next outage to restore power could also be 5 PM to 7:30 PM on Wednesday or Thursday evenings 6/12 or 6/13 or even possibly 5 AM to 7:30 AM on Friday 6/14 depending on weather conditions and the decision of Cambridge Inspectional Services. Here again is the outage timetable.

Tues. 6/11 from 5 AM to 7:30 AM - 1st planned outage decision NSTAR Wed. 6/12 from 5 AM to 7:30 AM - 1st planned restore or raindate outage decision Cambridge/NSTAR
Wed.6/12 from 5 PM to 7:30 PM - possible restore from 1st planned outage decision Cambridge/NSTAR Thurs 6/13 from 5 AM to 7:30 AM - rain date restore decision Cambridge/NSTAR Thurs 6/13 from 5 PM to 7:30 PM - possible restore from raindate outage decision Cambridge/NSTAR Fri 6/14 from 5 AM to 7:30 AM - let's hope it doesn't get to Friday morning decision NSTAR
