The following Fire Alarm Shutdown (w/brief *live audible 1st/3rd party testing Tues/Wed 5/21, 22 at 6AM) is for bldg. 9-All starting on Monday, May 20, 2013 from 6:00am til 11:00am and then on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 21st and 22nd it will be 6:00am til 7:00am, is for your information and approval. Reason:
We request bldg 9-all fire alarm shutdowns on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, May 20th, 21st and 22nd, 2013 - finals week - as follows;
from 6 AM to 11 AM on Monday 5/20 for MacNichol Electric (Tom Durant 978-930-6001) and Simplex (Rich Perron 781-603-7799) to tie-in and program elevator related fire alarm devices (alt & primary recall, firefighters hat, damper, fan);
and from 6 AM to 7 AM on Tuesday and Wednesday, 5/21,22 to conduct *live audible 1st and then 3rd party testing of the bldg 9 fire alarm system in order to test the new devices. 3rd party testing on Wednesday 5/22 will be witnessed by JMBCo (Wayne Maginnis 617-212-2059)
and as part of the bldg 9 elevator modernization project by Commodore Builders (Ralph D'Antonio 617-719-
4682), Paul Murphy 4-6163 is the MIT project manager.
Effect:
Loss of fire alarms for the duration of this shutdown.
