Reason:
We request a bldg 26-all normal emergency power shutdown, from 9 PM on Thursday evening, May 9th to 6 AM on Friday morning, May 10th, 2013 for Annese Electric to install and tie-in a 225A circuit breaker in the emergency power switchgear for service to a new life-safety electrical closet being installed on the first floor as part of the bldg 26-life-safety systems upgrade project by Annese Electric (Joe Protano 781-726-2877). Paul Murphy 4-3163 and Jennifer Combs 3-7671 are the MIT project managers.
The following will be affected;
Emergency egress and stairwell lighting, exit signs - all floors All condensate and vacuum pumps All sump pumps and ejectors Control and lab air compressors Simplex fire alarm goes to battery back-up Autocall/TFX fire alarm goes to battery back-up DGP goes to battery back-up MRI lab oxygen depletion and Notifier panel (notifier to battery back-up)
AH20 and disregard alarms on any general exhaust fans Domestic water booster pumps and the control cabinet Toilet exhaust is assumed to be affected
Please note tel/data and security are on normal power and will not be affected.
The elevator is on normal power now, fed out of substation 1 The lecture hall 26-100 and a/v booth are also now on all normal power-USS1
Effect:
Loss of Normal Emergency Power for the duration of this shutdown.
