I checked out Sophocles tonight. It had disk (controller) errors
scrolling across the screen, and was completely scrod (wouldn't give a
Password: prompt). I Ctl-Alt-Pause'd it, but it won't boot. It just
blinks with a 22...
This is not an additional problem. It is not an old problem
returning. I'm nearly certain this is the same problem that we called
IBM for last time. They just didn't fix it.
The diags probably won't find the problem if run once over the system,
so please don't let the field service engineer just run diags and
leave. We have bad hardware in that box, and I suspect it's the
controller board.
