At approx. 20:10 Physical Plant Operations received an A/C alarm from 11-135
and notified 8400. Ron had notified me to advise me of the problem. I called
P.P. back with specific instructions as to wait for me outside the 11-135
area. I met P.P. outside the faility, and we went in to investigate. The
Primary unit was down, with High Humidity problems, and the secondary was on
doing its job. High Humidity was on cause these Datac units need heat as well
as chilled water. The converter to bldg.11 was off (meaning the heat). This is
why the primary shutdown. I asked Richard Sirois to please look into this
converter situation. Now that summer is just about here, we will probably be
getting this A/C failure on a regular basis. What was done this evening as
probably a temporary measure, was to lower the temperature from 72 to 65
degrees on the primary unit. All o.k for now.
