The following fire alarm shutdown notification on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 through Tuesday, August 7, 2012, 6:00am - 3:00pm each regular workday, and an *intermittent live audible testing request between 9:30am and 3:00pm each regulary workday, for Bldg. Reason:
We request bldgs W2 and W4 fire alarm shutdowns from 6 AM to 3 PM on Tuesday, July 31st thru Tuesday, August 7th, 2012 (when applicable) for JMBCo (Frank Britton 617-908-3325)/Simplex (Rich Perron 781-603-7799) to tie-in, program and *live 1st and 3rd party test* new W2 speaker/strobes, 5 new circuits and new Simplex 4010 cabinet-hardware/software;
and relocate and *live 1st and 3rd party test* W4-3rd, 4th and 6th floor west speaker/strobes, smokes and a handicapped bed shaker.
The W2-4010 Simplex system gets networked to the W4-4100U there-by reporting troubles to OPS.
MIT is to program the W2-2nd floor CO detector into the W2 DGP.
Intermittent *live audible testing will take place between 9:30 AM and 3 PM daily* with the 3rd party live testing scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, August 6th and 7th and will be witnessed by DEI Systems (Jerry Delaney 978-815-6686/Phil Deneault 978-569-3755)
and all as part of the W2/W4 tutor suites renovation and life-safety upgrades project by Shawmut Construction (Pat Coburn 617-594-1500). Sudy Nally 8-8010 is the MIT project manager.
Effect:
Loss of fire alarms for the duration of the shutdown and *intermittent live audible testing as outlined above.
