Reason:
We request a bldg 48-3rd and 4th floor west lighting shutdown from 6 AM to 10 AM on Thursday morning, August 2nd and a bldg 48-3rd and 4th floor west normal power shutdown (affecting older flush mounted wall outlets and fan coil units in rooms 417 and higher, and, 317 and higher) from 10 AM to 2 PM - following the lighting shutdown, for MacNichol Electric (Mike Bryson 781-760-7416) to relocate existing power panels in 48-434 into the hallway as part of the Prof Polz Lab renovation project by Elaine Construction (Bill Kelly 781-974-2195).
Temporary power will be available for critical equipment affected by the power shutdown (ex computer cluster in Prof Long's office). Most rooms/labs on 3 and 4 with room numbers >=X17 will be without comfort cooling -fan coil units- during the shutdown 10 AM to 2 PM.
Effect:
Loss of lighting from 6am - 10am and loss of normal building power, computers, and supply cooling air from 10am - 2pm.
