The following approved fire alarm shutdown and *brief live audible testing notification for Bldg. 32 - All, on Monday, July 30, 2012, 6:00am - 7:30am, with the *brief live audible testing to take place between 7:00am and 7:30am, is for your information. Reason:
We request a bldg 32-all fire alarm shutdown from 6 AM to 7:30 AM on Monday morning, July 30th 2012 for JMBCo (617-799-7171)/Simplex (Rich Perron 781-603-7799) to install a f/a panel amplifier and tie-in and test a temporary speaker/strobe installed outside of the daycare suite. We will conduct *live audible testing of the bldg 32 fire alarm system from 7 to 7:30 AM*. The device is being installed to warn contractors working on the scaffolding to stop work in the event of a Stata Center fire alarm system activation as children could/will be evacuating the building via an egress under the scaffolding. This is being done as part of a roof/facade repair project by Consigli Construction (John Laperle 508-400-4850). John Engle 4-5001 and Keith Diggans 4-6174 are the MIT project managers.
Effect:
Loss of fire alarms for the duration of the shutdown and *live audible testing between 7am - 7:30am.
