The following fire alarm shutdown notification and *live audible testing request for Bldg. 4 - All, on Friday, July 27, 2012, 6:00am - 7:30am, with the *live audible testing to take place between 7:00am - 7:30am, and a fire protection water shutdown notification for Bldg. 4 - 4th Floor, on Monday, July 30, 2012, 6:00am - 12:00pm, is for your information and response. Reason:
We request a bldg 4-all fire alarm shutdown from 6 AM to 7:30 AM on Friday, July 27th, 2012 for MacNichol Electric (Jim 978-273-7931) to tie-in 4-403 temp heat detectors to the nearest addressable loop (pull station or terminal can) and for Simplex to program the heats via an IAM into the fire alarm system. We will conduct *live audible testing of the bldg 4 fire alarm system from 7 to 7:30 AM* and all as part of the 4-403 Edgerton Lab renovation project by MetroWest Construction (Art Alfano 781-706-9705). Kim Sutherland 8-5962 and Nicole Pisani 5-5157 are the MIT project managers.
We request a bldg 4-4th floor sprinkler shutdown from 6 AM to 12 noon on Monday, July 30th, 2012 for AHC Mechanical (Guy Fossiano 781-844-7815) to relocate/demo/plug the sprinkler system in 4-403 pre-construction as temporary heat detectors will have been installed, programmed and tested here as part of the 4-4th floor Edgerton Lab renovation project by MetroWest Construction (Art Alfano 781-706-9705), WEH for Kim Sutherland 8-5962 and Nicole Pisani 5-5157
Effect:
Loss of fire alarms and *live audible testing on 7/27 and fire protection water on 7/30.
