This is to notify you that the elevator car #3 (handicapped elevator) in Bldg. 16 and 8 will be shutdown for renovations beginning on Monday, July 23, 2012 at 7:00am through 3:00pm on Friday, August 31, 2012. Reason:
The Schindler Elevator Corp (Joe Gaspar 781-953-0657) will be upgrading the bldg 16 handicapped elevator cab 3 (small elevator at intersection of 8 and 16) between Monday, July 23rd and Friday, August, 31st, 2012 and this elevator will be out of service while the upgrade is being done. In general, the entire system is being replaced (machinery, cab, controls, doors, hardware) as part of the campus elevator modernization project and Keith Diggans 4-6174 is the MIT project manager.
Effect:
This elevator will be out of service. Signs will be posted for alternative access.
