Type: Normal
Date: June 7, 2012
Day: Thursday
Time: 5:00am - 8:00am
Building(s): 66
Room(s): All
System: Fire Alarm and *Brief Live Audible Testing
Duration: 3 hours max
Reason:
We request a bldg 66 fire alarm shutdown from 5 AM to 8 AM on Thursday, June 7th, 2012 for Crocker Electric and Bennett Communications (Mark Popielski 617-799-2614) to tie-in, program and *live test* temporary heat detectors being installed in 66-125, as required by our CFD Fire Protection Impairment Plan, prior to the demo of the sprinkler system in this lab area and as part of the 66-125 Prof Tisdale Lab renovation project by Elaine Construction (Nick Murray 617-799-7913). Evan Koska 4-6173 and Kim Sutherland 8-5962 are the MIT project managers.
*Live testing of the bldg 66 fire alarm system will be very brief - a couple/few minutes only - immediately following the programming of the temp heats and most likely prior to 7 AM.
Effect:
Loss of fire alarms for the duration of the shutdown and *brief live audible testing.
