The following normal building power shutdown request for Bldg. 1 - All, and Bldg. 3 - three IS&T closets (357T, 259T, & 085T), on Thursday, June 14, 2012, at 9:00pm through 7:00am on Friday, June 15, 2012. Any questions, please contact Rich Lucas, x4-6801.

Reason:
A shutdown in requested for all normal power and lighting in building 1 in order to repair one cable and do preventative maintenance in the two electrical substations. This shutdown will also affect three IS&T closets in bldg 3 (rooms 3-357T, 3-259T and 3-085T), but John Morgante is aware of it.
Emergency Power will remain active.
In order to keep equipment safe guarded during the power down and re-energizing back up, IS&T will need to power down all equipment starting between 8-8:30 Thursday evening 6/14, and power back on at 7am on 6/15.
Bldg 1 will lose IS&T services; Wired network, Wireless, and VoIP. Bldg 3 will lose same services on the Killian Courtyard long corridor side, basement through 4th floor.

Effect:
Loss of access controls, building power, elevators, computers, telephones, lighting (including corridors/stairs), chilled water, condenser water, supply ventilation/cooling/heating air, laboratory/general/toilet exhaust, compressed control/lab air, condensate return, and exhaust hoods for the duration of the shutdown.
