The following approved *extended fire alarm shutdown and live audible testing for Bldg. 10-All on Monday, May 14, 2012 and Tuesday, May 15, 2012 with live audible testing on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, 6:00am - 7:30am, *to also include live audible testing on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, 6:00am - 7:00am, is for your information. Original reason: We request bldg 10-all fire alarm shutdowns on Monday and Tuesday, May 14th and 15th, 2012 as follows;
from 6 AM to 12 noon on Mon. 5/14 for Davies Electric (Jim Davies 617-212-6234) and Bennett Communications (Mark Popielski 617-799-2614) to tie-in speaker/strobes tie-in and program smoke detectors and associated LED's for tel/data closets 10-478T, 455T and 086T;
and from 6 AM to 7:30 AM on Tues. 5/15 to conduct *live audible independent 3rd party testing of the bldg 10 fire alarm system*, to be witnessed by DEI Systems (Jerry Delaney 978-815-6686), in order to test the programming and new fire alarm devices and as part of the bldg 10-IS&T upgrade project by renovations Inc. (Jim Abbisso 617-594-7650). Gerhard Sinani 4-1705 is the MIT project manager.
*Extended reason: Dear all, I'd like to extend this bldg 10 fire alarm shutdown to include *live audible 3rd party testing of the building 10 fire alarm system from 6 AM to 7 AM tomorrow morning*, Wednesday, May 16th. We did not complete the 3rd party test today as we had to bring in Bennett Communications and Simplex for additional programming on the 4th floor and in the basement, respectively. We are fully aware of the President's function and will complete the live testing by 7 AM and promise to leave the area by 8 AM. Thank you, Billy H. 8-0432
Effect:
Loss of fire alarms for the duration of the shutdown and *live audible testing on Tuesday and Wednesday.
