The following fire alarm shutdown notification on Thursday, May 17, 2012, 6:00am - 2:00pm and Friday, May 18, 2012, 6:00am - 9:45am, with a *live audible testing request for Friday, May 18, 2012, 6:00am - 9:45am, for Bldg. Reason:
We request bldg N51/N52-all fire alarm shutdowns on Thursday and Friday, May 17th and 18th, 2012 as follows;
on Thurs 5/17 from 6 AM to 2 PM for McPhee Electric (Peter Nugent 774-721-6688)/Simplex (Rich Perron 781-603-7799) to tie-in and program a new N51-1st floor tamper switch, three N51-3rd floor smoke detectors with four associated remote alarm indicators/LED's, one control module which interlocks the fire alarm system with 3rd floor mechanical equipment and silent 1st party test;
and from 6 AM to 9:45 AM on Friday, May 18th to conduct *live audible 3rd party testing of the N51/N52 fire alarm system*, to be witnessed by J. & M. Brown Co (Wayne Maginnis 617-212-2059), in order to test the new devices and their programming;
and all as an addition to the N51-3rd floor Edgerton Lab/DLab relocation project by Bond Brothers (Steve Goodwin 617-212-0438). Evan Koska 4-6173 and Biss Teelucksingh 2-5972 are the MIT project managers.
Effect:
Loss of fire alarms for the duration of the shutdown and *live audible testing on Friday.
