The following fire alarm shutdown notification for Tuesday, May 1, 2012, 7:30am - 2:30pm, Wednesday, May 2, 2012, 6:00am - 2:00pm, and Thursday and Friday, May 3 & 4, 2012, 6:00am - 9:00am each day, and a *live audible testing request for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, May 2, 3 & 4, 2012, 6:00am - 9:00am each day, for Bldg. Reason:
We request bldg N51/N52 fire alarm shutdowns on Tuesday, May 1st through
Friday, May 4th, 2012 as follows;
from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM on Tues 5/1 for McPhee Electric (Michael Moore 781-393-7993)/Simplex (Rich Perron 781-603-7799) to tie-in and program new N51-3rd fl fire alarm devices (a/v's, pulls, smokes, tamper and w/f's);
and from 6 AM to 9 AM on Wed/Thurs/Fri 5/2,3,4 to conduct *live audible testing of the bldg N51/N52 fire alarm system* - NFPA required acceptance testing on Wed 5/2, 1st party testing on Thurs 5/3 and 3rd party testing on Fri 5/4. 3rd party testing will be witnessed by J. & M. Brown Co (Wayne Maginnis 617-212-2059);
and all as part of the N51-3rd floor Doc Edgerton lab relocation project by Bond Brothers (Steve Goodwin 617-212-0438/Patrick Joyce 617-895-6741). Evan Koska 4-6173 and Biss Teelucksingh 2-5972 are the MIT project managers.
Please note that the shutdown for Wednesday, May 2nd is extended, following live testing, until 2 PM for additional programming per the outcome of the initial acceptance test.
