Incorrect. The true-type fonts Palatino, Palatino bold, Palatino italic,
and Palatino bold italic are all installed on all the machines in 2-032,
unless you used a machine where somebody removed them. If they are missing,
be sure to run "Cleanup" from the Apple pull-down menu and *wait* until
the machine *finishes* updating (which can take anything from a few minutes
to 10 or 15 minutes, depending on how many files need updating). Then
Palatino will be available. Palatino is not the default font, so depending on
how you set your fonts in your Word document, you may need to explicitly
change the default font to Palatino for your document to have the appearance
you want.

You can't. Do not, under *any* circumstances, attempt to connect your
powerbook to the 2-032 printer. I don't know where else you can get
access to Mac printing. Ask your thesis advisor or the administrative
officer for your department, and perhaps they can assist you with
using departmental printing resources.
