I was able to talk to the printer via kermit. 
I copied a new lpd daemon and the printer is working again.

Toner roller corrupted cleaned.
Power cycled P/S, Lno3, reseated
cable from server to printer and
printed 1 job, appears to be hung
again.  Reseated all cables could
not get to print.  I think there
may be a problem with the software.

Op can someone in your group check
on this problem.  Also notify hotline
as to who has picked up problem.

Jobs do not make it from printserver
to printer.
