During the winter break, I deleted many transactions from cfyi, up to
#1000. During IAP, and continuing until 27 February, Malcolm (mwcassel)
deleted many transactions up to about #3000 (that is, dating September of
this year).

We had deleted these many selected transactions in order to make cfyi a
useful learning tool for new consultants. But...

When I looked this past Thursday, the deleted transactions from #1000 on
had returned. I don't know how they returned, but I do know that it wasn't
done intentionally by anyone.

I've talked with Brian, dkk, and raeburn to try to figure out what happened,
and the best suggestion is a possible load of the disk from tape, or
something like that? Clearly, this suggestion is just guessing in the dark.\

So. If you know what happened, please let me know. And, if it's possible
to redelete the deletions, I'd appreciate it if that could be done.

If I left off any information you need, just ask.

Thanks for any help you can offer.
