Brian tracked down the bad block to show that it's in the file
/xess/.vaxbin/xess
Before doing anything with the disk, find out from the contact at
DU:
- Are they running a special version of xess, or just the
normal Athena version?
If they're running the normal version, then you can
blow away the file, and tell them to run it from
/afs/athena/software/xess ("attach xess").
If they're running a special version, they should get
in touch woth Alex Prengel (253-8613) regarding licensing
issues.
