I was working on machine m1-142-10 when it froze. I was sending e-mail at the
time, nothing complicated. In any case, in the midst of typing the machine
locked up, so I waited a bit. Nothing changed. I rebooted the machine
(ctrl-alt-return, etc.) and logged on to another in the meantime. At the end
of my session, "zlocate" was telling me I was still logged on to m1-142-10.
I checked it and it had finished rebooting; the normal "Welcome to Athena..."
screen was up. So I tried logging on and it put up a message saying the
workstation failed to activate successfully and to notify Athena Ops. I hope
nothing screwy can happen to my files in the meantime!
