Hello, this is not me but my friend (jwlin@athena, UID 17415) who's
writing. Rather this than telnet'ing athena 25 and faking SMTP.
----
Hi -- I (jwlin) have my shell registered with moira as
/usr/athena/bin/tcsh (I have /bin/csh, the default); I changed it
using the command "chsh".
well, turns out that, at least on the dialup dec and rt server packs
/usr/athena/bin/tcsh doesn't exist anymore. Just vanished last night.
There is a file /bin/athena/tcsh, though -- did someone decide to move
it there w/o creating a soft link?
Well, whatever happened, could someone link the file /usr/athena/bin/tcsh
to /bin/athena/tcsh so I can at least login again? I don't think
choosing "ignore customizations" on a public workstation login would
ignore the shell setting, but I haven't tried it yet -- I will today
(saturday the 16th).
or, if the person reading this has the bits to do it, could you please
access moira to change my shell to /bin/athena/tcsh, or, if that's
expected to die sometime soon, /bin/csh (and I'll just setenv SHELL to
what I want)?
I was on last night around 10ish and everything was jim dandy. Please
reply asap; I can't login on an athena dialup, and probably athena
workstations (although I haven't tried), til this is fixed.
Thanks.

P.S. you can send email to jwlin@athena -- juliasu is nice enough to
log in and let me telnet epore.mit.edu where I can login there, where
my account's still okay and I can still inc mail sent to jwlin@athena.
