Machine ESG04 has disk problems

The machine TUM-TUM-TREE.MIT.EDU (ESG04), a VS2000 located the
ESG cluster (room 24-618), has been having severe problems with its hard
disk in the past few days. The error (approximately) sd0: hard error -
sync error has appeared frequently. A few hours ago it crashed with
panic: IO err in push. Currently, it will not boot at all.
Problems with its floppy disk drive have also occurred
intermittently in the past, though these may be unrelated.
