I strolled into the Watchmaker Zone early this evening (18:30), and
was told that I had been paged 15 minutes earlier (when I was on the
subway) because Cyrus went down at about 17:00. Investigating
further, I found that Cyrus was still running, but deaf to the network
(and possible to its own peripherals). It rebooted relatively
cleanly.

At about 23:00, I found that Chiroptera was responding to nothing but
pings. (No one else seems to have noticed, so I guess it was no great
tragedy.) When I went downstairs for a visit, I found disk 0 offline
(just like last time), the disk faulted (just like last time) and the
fault-button diagnostic blinking the 'B' light (just like last time).
I guess whatever caused the previous couple of offlines hasn't been
located yet. I took the opportunity to update the system to 7.0F.

Also, the printserver m1-252-p has been complaining for a long time
about s_chkaf being unable to open a particular accounting file in the
spool directory. I discovered that when the printer was renamed, the
spool directory was renamed, but the accounting file was not. I don't
know if this had any user-visible effect, but I suspect not since that
printer doesn't have Kerberos autentication enabled. What I did was
rename /usr/spool/printer/ln03-1-252/ln03-1-245-{acct,log} to
ln03-1-252-{acct,log}.
