Door to E53 Cluster is Erratic

The combination doorlock to the cluster in the basement of E53 seems
to fail at random. When the correct combination is entered, there is
an audible click, but the door does not open. Usually there is
someone inside who can then let them in. The failure is not
prdictable, most of the time it works, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes
it seems to fail consistently for awhile, then get better.
