When I have dialed up the athena.dialup.mit.edu servers,
e.g., LASAGNE, they have connected me to
e40-008-4.mit.edu
alfredo
carbonara
these machines have refused my login and password.
I have been forced to specify "athena-vax.dialup.mit.edu"
to get my login and password accepted.
Are the servers affected with a program gathering my
login and password? Should I change my password?
For example, I went to my office and telneted to
e40-008-4.mit.edu. I didn't have any connection problems.
What is UP?
PS. I believe that e40-008-8.mit.edu has a bad telnet program.
The telnet program won't execute. I use the word "believe"
because I have machine's name written down in my office
and I am at home. If e40-008-8.mit.edu is incorrect, I
will send you the right name.
