Hi,
It has become important to the layers of management above me that we always
have a workstation named GIS in a prominent place in the research area of the
lab. It helps our fund-raising and keeps everyone aware of the recent
exlposive growth in computer mapping around the world.
And, we want to have a personal decstation in the research area.
So, we need to move the computer we now call EAMES, a personal decstation
5000, from 9-551 and put it into 9-514/Backyard.
And we need to move SAFDIE from 9-514/Backyard to 9-551.
And we need to do away with the name EAMES and replace it with GIS.
Apparently it is important that the primary name be GIS so it shows up in places
like xload, where a c-name or alias won't do.
Thus, I guess, we should:
- create a name GIS
- move the ds5000 now known as eames from 9-551 to 9-514/Backyard
and call it GIS
- move SAFDIE from 9-514/Backyard to 9-551
- do away with the name EAMES.
I think that covers it. If there is any confusion, I caused it, so ask me for
more detail. Thanks!
