I've scheduled Helen for DEC maintenance on Friday Sept 11 starting
at 8:00am. At this time DEC is supposed to upgrade the remaining
RA90 to FCO level 27, as well as look into the problem with the drive
popping offline.
After DEC is finished I want to address the problem with the /site
bad super block. Here's the proposed course of action:
- try using the ucb fsck on /site (a non-afs partition) to see
if it can correct the problem.
- rewrite the superblock using jis's suggestion.
- have drive 1 ready as an alternate boot disk
