This VS2000 was reported frozen, and non-functional.
This system had errors in the 'G' partition that fsck could not clear.
I have reloaded software on this machine. It is now up and running 7.0
I think that this workstation may have been a casualty of the 7.0 release,
meaning that it was probably down with errors, and was unable to get the
update. All o.k. now
