I have created the mailing list "gssapi-dev@athena.mit.edu". It is
intended for use by implementors of the GSSAPI to discuss details that
were not addressed at the past meetings at MIT and Dec Littleton, but
which must be addressed if applications are truly going to be portable.
For example: What is the name of the include file which should be
included to get all of the GSSAPI definitions and macros? I'm currently
using "gssapi.h"; Either John or Kannan told me that he's using
something like "gssapi-defs.h". What we use isn't important, but we
need to both use the same name.
My expectation is that decisions can be made these minor issues can be
made by consensus by the members of this mailing list; major issues will
probably have to wait until GSSAPI V2, unless it is vitally important
that we make a decision before we release the first implementations.
The following addresses are on the list: tytso, jis,
kannan@sehour.enet.dec.com, and John.Wray@ltn.mts.dec.com. The list
addresses should be propagated to the mailhub by tomorrow, so you can
start using this address tomorrow. Send subscription requests to me or
to owner-gssapi-dev@athena.mit.edu.
