Updates:
Hiring:
Bill and Mike made someone an offer.
Paul Page reports that several SAP positions have been filled.
We're getting to the point where we're almost fully staffed.
ITLT Update:
The major focus has been on the Competency Group plan.
The group of 5 has been established:
With Greg Anderson: Patricia Brady, Jeff Pankin, Jonathan Ives,
Naomi Schmidt, Lois Mc Ghee, and Bill Cattey
Bill said he wants to hear from people on
what they want to see from this effort.
Q: Is resource tracking part of the Competency Group effort?
Perhaps if the Competency Group had a managing role.
OR if the Competency Group provided the tools, and brokered the
effort.

Project DB
Roger opened the topic of making the Project DB more useful to the
ITLT for scheduling resources.
Bill pointed out that ongoing work can be logged into the DB as well.
He suggests that ongoing work that takes a "qualitatively appreciable"
amount of someone's time it should be logged in the project DB. Perhaps
in the future it should be called "The Effort DB" instead.
The implementation team should visit the Help Desk, Athena Ops, and
other operational folks to find out what kind of information they want
recorded in the DB.
----
N42 Move Status:
The N42 team met with Steve Perry, sanity checking to see if the
Architects correctly got what we thought we transmitted to them, as far
as who and what goes into N42.
The team is going to provide to the Architects a different way to group
people than what they originally conceived that better fits how we
really do work together. (I.E. the team thinks some groupings may
bemore helpful for the architects than the current ones.)
Mike is in the process of typing in his N42 meeting notes for wider
circulation.

Review of projects headed for Service.
We went down the list of all Delivery projects in the DB and reviewed
whether or not there were service issues.
One hot issue for many around the table was improving the relationship
between Delivery and the Database Group. Many good ideas were aired. We
plan to invite Harold Pakulat to a future Delivery Team Leader's meeting
to move forward on this issue.
----
Update on Service Entry Improvement Project:
After gathering input, the team came up with a list of Deliverables, and
Objectives. The concept is to codify the service entry process so that
those in discovery and delivery get clearer criteria, and so that
service teams get better advance notice and a clearer sense of the
requirements to service the new thing.
