Java Architecture for Infrastructure Services
Team Name: Java Architecture
Project Leader: Scott Thorne
Report Date: 2/15/2002
Submitted by: Chuck Shubert
Accomplishments:
In January we continued to improve the OKI Service APIs. This work was
focused on discovering flaws and preparing for review at the February
OKI Developers Meeting. Testing continued on the Roles API and
adjustments to both the Roles API and the Roles implementation
followed. The first strawman OKI function layer API was cast into Java.
Goals:
Our goal for February is to complete work for the next OKI Developers
Meeting in mid-February. Development of sample and test code will
continue. We expect to make Service APIs and MIT implementations of the
Service APIs available to a small number of developers at MIT and
Stanford as they are completed at the end of February.
Issues:
Structuring OKI work in anticipation of additional development help
coming from our OKI partners continues to require attention.
Key learnings:
Development of the Service APIs and their implementations continue with
an emphasis on reworking CVS structure and API details for completeness
and consistency.
Team Dynamics:
The OKI team has worked very hard this month and is showing some signs
of fatigue. We have been looking forward to our OKI Developers Meeting
in Key West.
