Project Name: HR-Payroll Project
Project Leader: Dan Fitzgerald
Report Date: Feb 5, 2002
URL: http://web.mit.edu/is/delivery/hrpayroll/
Accomplishments in Jan
-----------------------------------------
- Pension Payroll implementation project has begun. Planning phase was
completed and business blueprint is now underway. Target set for end of
April for completion of detailed blueprint.
- Blueprint phase for Personnel Administration team has begun.
- Blueprint phase completed for Organization & Position Management /
Compensation. Realization phase now underway. Two areas for concern
regarding Blueprint completeness are 1) reporting and 2) appointments.
Reporting needs are being identified across all HR sub-modules vs.
sub-module by sub-module, Appointment design being worked by cross-section
of team members but design of Positions will be affected by final outcome
of Appointment design.
- Pilot "roadshow" of the business process redesigns underway. Refinements
being made based on initial pilot session.
- Detailed workplan completed for segment of overall communication plan
associated with senior leadership. Result is 6 week activity involving
project sponsors and other campus leaders.
- Planning for upcoming ESS activity in progress. Transactions in support
of benefit enrollments for new hires and telephone directory changes are
being evaluated for next 6 months.
Goals for Feb
-------------------------
- Data collection segment of business approval analysis completed.
- Appointment design options detailed.
- Availability of a reference HR system to configurators.
Issues
- Lincoln Lab direction in regard to HR-Payroll project.
