Recent accomplishments:
- One class participating in the service test began heavy use,
providing the first real test of system load. Initial feedback
was positive; they have reported no problems or complaints to this
point.
- Identified remaining development tasks for roll-out.
- Met with othomas, identified support needs.
- Wrote up policy issues needing to be addressed by management.
- Implemented estimated job start time in scheduler.
- Began implementing job and queue status changes.
- Identified and fixed several bugs; they are non-critical, so there
is no urgency to deploy them for the test.
Goals for next period:
- Continue work on remaining development tasks.
- Continue work on additional support and documentation needs.
- Continue to monitor use by test participants, and get feedback.
- Resolve policy issues.
- Investigate possible disk mirroring/RAID options for master.
Issues:
- We have identified several policy issues which need to be addressed
