Report Date: November 13, 2001
Project URL: http://web.mit.edu/is/delivery/ecat
Accomlishments Past Period:
PC Connection:
- PC Connection finished development work to provide us certificate-based
access to their catalog and generating an OBI order request from the shopping
basket.
- PC Connection gave us access to their development site, from which we could
access the catalog, complete shopping baskets, submit the shopping baskets to
SAPweb, and create SAP requisitions in SF2 and SF5.
- Sent several EDI 850 POs to PC Connection. All looks good.
- MIT and PC Connection defined requirements and mapping for EDI 810
invoices.
PC Connection will create invoices based on the POs we have sent them for
testing.
Dell:
- Completed and signed Statement of Work.
- Completed a substantial amount of development work on the XML parser.
- Received sample OrderRequests from Dell to further test the parser.
- Created test POs in SF2 and SF5. Translated the EDI 850s and transformed it
into XML format.
Grainger:
- Learned that Grainger's rollout of new catalog is going slowly. They are
still in beta testing with early adopters. Most likely, Grainger will not be
ready to begin working with us until next calendar year.
Goals for Next Period:
PC Connection:
- Continue testing on PC Connection's development platform. Identify and
report discrepancies.
- Move to QA platform.
- Continue testing EDI 850s.
- Test EDI 810s
- If all goes well, move to production platform and begin limited pilot
testing.
Dell:
- Complete testing of new XML parser.
- Get access to Dell development/test catalog to begin end-to-end testing.
- Modify default XSLT to transform default XML format to the xCBL format
required by Dell.
- Test EDI 810 invoices.
Grainger:
- Keep up to date on their rollout schedule.
