This month's accomplishments (October 2001)
- Modified installation and put on a production-class machine
* Created hesiod lookup of PO box
* Identified system defaults, including defaulting unspecified addresses
to @mit.edu
* Set inbox to refresh at a time interval to keep session alive while
doing things like composing email
* Created new color palettes
* Documented installation as well as complexity of system
* Determined hardware needed, ordered it and installed machine with IMP
- Met with primary IMP-Horde developer to share development ideas
- Established 'beta' installation for use and testing by ITPartners and IS
- Scheduled session with Usability Team
- Scheduled Support discussion
- Began user documentation (http://web.mit.edu/webmail/doc/using.html)
- Scheduled an IAP seminar on WebMail for January 15 at 2 PM in the
N42-Demo Center
- Drafted i/s newsletter article for December issue
Next Month's Plans (November 2001)
- Continue monitoring feedback and issues, attempting to resolve them
- Continue adding functionality options (e.g. quota lookup, MIT Directory
lookup)
- Prioritize and address usability testing feedback
- Work on support issues and timeline for official WebMail support
