Issues:

* Our Veritas support contract has expired in June 2001. This contract
needs to be renewed ASAP.
Accomplishments Past Period:
----------------------------
* Met with Roger Roach, Bob Ferrara and Paul Page to discuss the project
timeline as well as the resources issue.
* Continued maintenance and operation of NetBackup on the E40 systems.
* Resolved outstanding problems associated with the tape devices in the E40
ATL.
* Identified and isolated a major problem causing our tape headers to be
overwritten during the execution of the backups.
* Developed a contingency plan to work around the 'tape header' problem.
Since the implementation of this new temporary backup scheme, the
backups have been 100% successful.
Goals for the Coming Period:
----------------------------
* Establish new timeline for FY02-Q3 W91 implementation taking into account
the upcoming availability of the single-mode fiber link between E40 and W91
* Resolve the outstanding 'tape header' problem with the help of Veritas
Customer Support (once the support contract is renewed)
* Stabilize the E40 backups and build key stakeholders confidence in the
NetBackup product.
* Update the Team's web pages.
