This month's accomplishments (August 2001)
- Setup up & configured our future development machine (taj.mit.edu).
Worked with Database Services on database (Oracle) & software set up.
- Provided Student Systems Information Technologies with access to
kerberos data to replace the current method.
- Worked with Procurement to resolve some data problems stemming from
the SAP system.
- Converted web statistical data loads from daily to weekly.
- Setup new rank list 2b data load and mailing labels/publications
data load for Human Resources.
- Completed initial design and loaded benefits data (enrollment,
recipients; subscribers and dependents) into the Data Warehouse.
- Completed design and loaded benefits Undergraduate Admissions data
into the Data Warehouse. Delivered to Admissions Office for testing and
verification.
- Began working with the MIT News Office to develop a business
process model and a data model.
- Delivered prototype of Benefits/HR.
Next Month's Plans (September 2001)
- Migration of Blimp (test warehouse database) to Taj (new
development Data Warehouse machine).
- Clean test warehouse machine and turn over to development for
American Association of University Data Exchange (AAUDE) use.
- Finish production version of Benefits/HR.
- Deliver Facilities pilot system to manage construction costs.
- Begin prototype of MIT Card Office (building access data) data.
