Project Name: HR-Payroll Project
Project Leader: Dan Fitzgerald
Report Date: April 2, 2001

General
----------
- Benefits module is 1st rollout of HR, planned for summer of 2001. We missed
our 1st major project milestone which was to load a full file of real data
into
SF/2 by April 1. The project team is adjusting to insure we complete this
milestone as soon as possible. The ripple effect of this delay is being
reviewed presently.
Accomplishments in March
-----------------------------------------
- Recruiting design team, focusing primarily on applicant tracking
component of
recruiting, completed research on possible system tools and is in-progress of
drafting final recommendations.
- Employment verification process team is in-progress. Their current state is
researching lending practices and reviewing applicaple self-service options.
- Organization Management project team held 2 meetings in March. Requirements
and wishes of Lincoln Lab and Dept of Facilities have been presented.
Prototypes for both of these organizations are being developed in SAP system.
School of Engineering's needs will be presented this coming month.
- Received OK from ITAG to move ahead on integrating Interactive Voice
Response
with SAP Benefits. In final pricing negotiation with Interactive Voice
Response vendor Talx.
- Lincoln Enterprise Structure approved by senior Lincoln Lab management.
Goals for April
-------------------------
- Detailed IVR workplan drafted and spec meeting arranged.
- Improve financial controls around project budget.
- Prepare for integration testing in May.
Issues
--------
- Priority setting and coordination of HR activities in relation to HR-Payroll
project.
- Lincoln Lab security requirements: Neither campus nor Lincoln's data access
policies are documented so we are always on the defensive regarding whether we
are doing the right thing.
- Parking for Lincoln Lab employees coming to campus. Also related is the
desire to have an appropriate percentage of meetings at Lincoln vs. campus.
This is especially difficult during design phase when majority of teams are
populated by "community" members as opposed to those dedicated 100% to the
HR-Payroll project. This may appear to be a small issue but it is far from it.
