Accomplishments Past
Period:
----------------------------
* Archived FY98-99 of the PCA_OBJECT
archiving object (FY96-97 had
previously been archived). Successfully
validated the impact of
PCA_OBJECT archiving with Wayne Turner & John
Cunningham from FSS
and got a 'go' to proceed with this data-archiving
object.
* Upon further review with Wayne Turner and John Cunningham, it
was
agreed to defer evaluating the FM_DOC_FI (Funds Management
data)
archiving object and focus our efforts on objects that would
yeild
greater returns on investment.
* Purged the Payment Media
information for FY96-99.
Successfully validated the impact of the
reorganization of the
Payment Media information with AP process owners as
well as FSS
Business Analysts and got a 'go' for proceding with this data
purge.
* Working with the FSS Workflow Administrator, Katerina Lalioti,
archived FY96-99 of the WORKITEM archiving object for all Workflows
used
in our environment. Met with Process Owners, key operational
individuals,
and FSS Business Analysts to fill them in on the project
and ask them to
validate that the Worflow History data-archiving does
not have any adverse
impact on their business.
* Added a Mission statement to the project
notebook web page.
Goals for the Coming Period:
----------------------------
* Validate
impact of the WORKITEM archiving with Workflow process owners.
* As time
allows, look into Materials Masters data-archiving as requested
by
Facilities.
* Wrap-up the evaluation phase in the staging system (SF3) by
9/15
* Upgrade the staging system to 4.6C and validate the impact of
the
upgrade on a 'archived' system.
* Meet with sponsors. Make the go/no-go
decision to move the pilot to
production.
Issues:
-------
* Competition
for resources with the SAP 4.6C upgrade + potential timeline
conflicts.
