Bingo.  Although you broke rule #1 of vendor relations, don't let the vendor
know you will pay (Marty, pretend you didn't see that :-).

But does anyone else find it odd that NEWS (netnews, etc) is being given as
a reason to sink bucks into a network connection.  An application that doesn't
require a network connection.  An application that isn't even an Internet
standard.  An application that isn't listed as one of the reasons for having
the NREN.
